THE DESIGN EXPERIENCE
My aim is to make the process of choosing a wedding cake as straight forward and stress free as possible right from the moment you enquire with me through to the final set up.
I offer a very personal service and you will only ever deal with me throughout the whole process.
STEP ONE: ENQUIRY:
The best way to get in touch with me to check my availability is by completing my enquiry form and I will reply within 48 hours. However, if you prefer you can contact me by phone or send me an email.
With the information you provide in my enquiry form, I will have an idea of the kind of wedding cake you are envisaging, the details and colours within your wedding that can be incorporated into your cake and the number of portions you require. From this information I will be able to provide you with an initial estimated cost.
If you would like to go ahead and book with me, a £100 deposit is required to secure your booking
STEP TWO: CONSULTATION + TASTING
Approximately 6-9 months before your wedding day, I will invite you to my private cake studio in Bramhall for your design consultation. Here you will be able to see my display cakes and we can discuss all things cake!
I encourage you to bring along any colour swatches, stationery samples and floral arrangement inspiration when we meet to ensure everything is carefully considered so I can design a bespoke wedding cake perfect for you. I am always happy to consider designs from other cake makers and take inspiration in designing your cake but I will never reproduce someone else’s design.
Should you also like one of my existing designs, I can look at adapting the design to ensure that it fulfills your vision and is unique for you.
You will be given a cake tasting box at the consultation to enjoy or if you prefer you can take it away. In this cake tasting box, you will be able to sample four of my pre-selected most requested flavours and two madagascan vanilla sugar cookies which are perfect as wedding cake favours and can be made to compliment your wedding cake. If you prefer, your cake tasting box can be posted to you before the consultation.
STEP THREE: YOUR FINAL DESIGN
Following on from the design consultation, I will provide you with a beautiful sketch of your wedding cake and a tailor made quote.
I understand how important the wedding cake is and how integral it is to your day and through the above process, I make sure that it is the perfect centrepiece for your special day. I am always happy to answer any questions you have and will have an open dialogue with you throughout the whole process.
Due to the fragile nature of sugar flowers and what is involved in setting up a wedding cake, I prefer to deliver all wedding cakes. I will liaise directly with your venue about the best time to deliver you cake. On the day of your wedding, I will hand over all the information on your cake to your wedding coordinator including allergen advice and cake cutting information. Then finally, I will ensure that your cake is beautifully set up and displayed.
So all you need to do is just focus on enjoying your special day and of course, the cake!
